Honor Band ~ May 10-12, 2012
The 28th annual Southerners' Honor Band Festival program includes nationally acclaimed guest conductors, one high school Wind Ensemble, two equal high school Symphonic Bands, and two equal middle school bands. The festival will feature a Thursday evening masterclass for each instrument with JSU faculty, a Friday night dance/social, and a Saturday morning performance by all festival ensembles.

The Honor Bands
Chair placement auditions will take place on Thursday afternoon. The Bands are composed in the following manner:
10th, 11th, 12th Graders: Wind Ensemble, Red & White Bands
7th, 8th, 9th Graders: Southerners & Gamecock Cadet Bands
10th, 11th, 12th Graders: Wind Ensemble, Red & White Bands
7th, 8th, 9th Graders: Southerners & Gamecock Cadet Bands
Honor Band Fees
Unlike other honor band fees, ours includes everything your students will need for the entire event. The fee of $135 per student includes:
Chaperone fee: $30 (Includes housing only-This does not include meals)
$60 (This includes housing AND meals with the students)
(You may also pay for meals at the door, however it will not be at the discounted rate)
- All Meals (Friday & Saturday)
- Housing (Thursday & Friday nights)
- All concerts/clinics/social events
- Honor Band Shirt & Medal, etc...
